The Rochester Room

The Rochester Room is home to such an array of tasteful items which represent Rochester, that visitors often comment on how surprised they are at our selection. A posted list names the thirty or more area artists and craftspeople whose work does not depict Rochester but is "made in" Rochester and is found elsewhere throughout the store.

Rochester scenes are depicted in:
• Color photographs by Steve Pete
• Black and white photographs by James Barclay,
www.barclaystudios.com
• Prints of watercolors by Jim Christy.

All of the books published by The Rochester Landmark Society, as well as books on hiking, biking, Rochester history, and the Erie Canal fill the Rochester bookshelf.

T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, note paper, tote bags, and more round out The Rochester Room . . . but if you’re looking for the traditional shot glass or spoon, you’ll need to go somewhere else.

This series of ornaments were designed by us and executed by Massachusetts artist, Linda MacDonald. They can be purchased as shown to hang on a wall or tree or with a matching stand for use on a desk or shelf. Each is approximately four inches in diameter. They are sold exclusively at The Creator’s Hands.

The first in the series depicts our own High Falls....which you can see by walking out on the bridge right in front of our store!
